February 8 1933 On Board SS General Lee
Thank you again and again for the letter--it was appreciated. Who
ever concocted the idea? I enjoyed it heaps. Please thank Mala for
her note and give her my love. We are steaming up the river. Will
reach the sea this evening. The boat is small but very nice. I will
arrive in Hong Kong March 4th, if the boat isn't late. Now for a good
rest of about a month. The food is excellent--perhaps I can gain a
few pounds.
Terrill has a bride-to-be coming over as soon as possible. Deeds has
too. A kid can't stay away from the fire. I am writing Jeannette.
Perhaps she and Mrs. Terrill-to-be can come over together. Terrill
is a peach. I like him immensely. Deeds is dandy too--has come off
his horse. It looks like a great year.
I have to hurry this letter so it will be posted at Astoria. I am
thinking of you all and wishing you the best in the world.
Love
Stu
The Job looks better with more information -- about 50 ships there,
more later.
