Subject: Report of activities, Week Ending March 18, 1933

  1. Repaired Vickers water-cooled gun for use in ground instruction. Fired 100 rounds through gun at butts; found gun satisfactory.
  2. Conducted 3 classes of radio buzzer practice; average attendance 16 flight commanders; average lesson length, 30 minutes. Demonstrated correct method of receiving and printing characters. Class slow generally, but showing gradual improvement.
  3. Submitted for translation an aerial gunnery course for fixed guns; also gunnery range rules and safety precautions.
  4. Submitted practice gunnery course for flexible guns.
  5. Submitted plan for miscellaneous range equipment and targets for flexible machine guns.
  6. Submitted a list of equipment needed for armament. Have at present received and stored in armament room in G.H.Q. one-third of the equipment mentioned.
  7. Submitted for translation Gunnery and Dive Bombing Range Details with duties of each man enumerated.
  8. Submitted plans for Aerial Gunnery and Dive Bombing Score Cards.
