Week Ending May 27, 1933

  1. Delivered 10th and 11th Gunnery Lectures to Massed Pilots Class.
  2. Delivered 5th Gunnery Lecture to Class of Graduated Cadets at School.
  3. Final Review, before Chief of Staff, of Formation Flying Instruction by Class of Flight Commanders. Report submitted to Chief of Staff.
  4. Received three Aerial Gunnery targets. Satisfactory. Aerial Gunnery Range equipment moved to Range Shed. All accounted for and satisfactory.
  5. Prepared and submitted schedule of Instruction for course at Aerial Gunnery Range and course at Machine Gun Butts.
  6. Conducted one period period of Instructions on Rocking Fuselage for class of six Flight Commanders. Instruction given in basic principles of sighting and methods of directing fixed machine gun fire by the use of airplane controls.
  7. Conducted one period of instruction at Aerial Gunnery Range for class of six Flight Commanders. Tour of Range with detailed explanation of Aerial Gunnery course to be fired.
  8. Received 1000 rounds of ammunition requisitioned. Belted by Armament detail and ready for use at Range.
  9. Selected five men from Gunners Class to use as a Range Detail.
  10. Prepared Aerial Gunnery schedule for week beginning May 29th.
  11. Reported one Waco unserviceable for use in Aerial Gunnery.
