Week Ending June 3, 1933

  1. Delivered 12th Gunnery Lecture to Massed Pilots Class. Completed course of instruction on Vickers Machine Gun. Also Completed detailed explanation of the Aerial Gunnery Course to be fired.
  2. Delivered 6th and 7th Gunnery Lectures to Class of Graduated Cadets at School. Gave examination covering first six Lectures. Corrected papers and returned them to school with comments.
  3. Cooperated with Capt. Deeds in conducting a sample Puff Target shoo[t] for Massed Pilots Class.
  4. Conducted two classes in Stoppages and Rocking Fuselage at Machine Gun butts. Six different members of Massed Pilots Class each day. Work continuing with Major Tom instructing under my supervision. Twenty (20) members of Massed Pilots Class have completed both classes to date.
  5. Aerial Gunnery flying called off Tuesday because of weather, Wednesday for Marshal Chan Sai Tong's address. Thursday and Friday flew six Flight Commanders through Gunnery course for purpose of demonstrating correct methods and approaches.
  6. Aerial Gunnery Flying period changed from 9:00---11:00 A.M. to 12:30---2:30 P.M.. Necessary to avoid danger from field traffic.
  7. Conducted one class at Aerial Gunnery Range for Range Detail. Explained to each man in detail, his duties and responsibilities.
  8. Prepared and submitted plan for Aerial Gunnery Daily Report Sheet.
  9. Prepared and submitted schedules for both Aerial Gunnery, and classes in Stoppages and Rocking Fuselage for week June 5--10, 1933.
  10. Continued preparation of Gunnery Lectures to be given [to] Massed Pilots Class.
