Week Ending July 15, 1933

  1. Delivered 18th Gunnery Lecture to Massed Pilots Class.
  2. Delivered 12th Gunnery Lecture to Class of Graduated Cadets at School.
  3. Examination papers Massed Pilots Class corrected with the following results:
  4. 100-90 90-80 80-70 70-60 60-50 Below 50
    14 19 22 21 12 20

    Above Passing: 46 Below Passing: 53. Unsatisfactory.
  5. Attended Memorial Service for Captain Deeds. After service at Consulate helping with arrangements concerning removal of body to States.
  6. Conducted three afternoon periods of Aerial Gunnery at Range. One period missed because of Memorial Service. Report of progress submitted daily to Commanding Officer and Chief of Staff.
  7. Conducted three morning periods of Instruction at Lecture Hall with class of six Flight Commanders. Study of scores and review of previous days work.
  8. Final ten members of Massed Pilots Class completed Primary Classes in Stoppages and Rocking Fuselage this week. All members of class have completed Primary work.
  9. Arranged to have Machine Gun Butts repaired and walk for scorer made. Work completed. Satisfactory.
  10. Prepared and submitted Schedule of Advanced Training in Stoppages and Rocking Fuselage. Approved. Work begins next week.
  11. Prepared, and submitted for translation, Schedule of Aerial Gunnery for week July 17 -- July 22, 1933.
  12. Granted for leave Saturday, July 15 for purpose of accompanying Mrs. Deeds to Hong Kong.
