Week ending August 12, 1933
- Gave written examination
to Class of Graduated Cadets
at School. Have completed instructions
on Vickers Machine Gun. Papers
corrected and returned to School.
- No Gunnery lecture to Massed Pilots class this week. Class canceled because of heat.
- Conducted two afternoon periods of Aerial Gunnery at Range with class of six Flight Commanders. Sections 1 and 2 of Group II Pilots attended for purpose of observation. Two periods impossible because of heavy winds and rain. Six Flight Commanders have completed course in Aerial Gunnery. Final report of scores submitted to Commanding Officer and Chief of Staff. Total scores for four approaches: Moy Gum Chew-82: Tang Pack Keung-121: Yung Cheung Ping-187: Yong Yit Bak-148: Wong Wai Yun-128: Lau Pui Yin-109.
- Conducted three morning periods of Gunnery Instruction at Lecture Hall. Class attended by six Flight Commanders and one section of Group II Pilots. Study of scores. Review of previous days Gunnery, and special instructions to Group II men.
- Sections 5 and 8 of Group II Pilots fired Advanced course in Rocking Fuselage at Machine Gun Butts. 20 Cadets from School fired Primary courses in Stoppages and Rocking Fuselage.
- Installed system of Memorandum Receipt for Armament tools. Signed Armament men with tools and made clear their responsibility for loss of tool. Gave receipts and explained their use.
- Checked Bombing equipment on Waco's
to be used in Dive Bombing. Suggested
necessary changes in Bomb Rack.
Changes being made.
- Prepared, and submitted for translation, Schedule of Dive Bombing at Range for week August 14 -- August 19, 1933.
